My hair is really thick and nice about down to my ears, but then they get all scraggly. I get my hair trimmed every month and I've even cut off that part but it just grows that way. I love long hair and I take good care of mine, but it isn't working. Know a product I could use??

It sounds like your hair is being dried out. Make sure the products you are using aren't causing your hair to be bogged down with chemicals or is drying it out. You can go to the salon and get a hot oil treatmeant for your hair. It moisturizes and protects damaged hair and makes it better. Also you can go to a place that sell's hair products for stylists ( sally's for example) and ask them for suggestions. One product I have used is called Wella's conditioner. Its a real rich and heavy conditioner that you leave on for about ten minutes then rinse off. It is really effective.

I use Aussie Shampoo and Conditioner 'Root Cleanser %26amp; Tip Mender' in one. It cleanses your roots so they don't get oily and moisturizes/mends your ends so they dont get dry and stringy. I think it works great, I've been really happy with it. Aussie also makes a 3 minute reconstructor which is like an intense conditioner. If you use something like that - only apply it to your ends so your roots dont get oily and your ends will be very moisturized. I those products are made for your exact hair type, so I hope it works for you!

It may sound odd but try to use a conditioner called Mane and Tail. It's made for horses' maes so it'll condition your hair really well. That should help cause it sounds like u just have split ends. Try the conditioner (u can find it at a Sally beauty Supply store) or a hot oil treatment. And if you color or straighten your hair try stopping for a little while and see if there's any improvement.

Maybe if you let your hair grow but keep it in a pony tail or a plait you won't notice the scraggly bits.

If its not long enough to pull into a plait then have a mild perm until it grows longer and see if it improves.

You could be using a product that is too high in PH and it's drying your ends out. Ask your stylist what shampoo and conditioner would be best for you. They should also be able to suggest products that will help make your hair look smoother. If you are using heat styling items, like a hair dryer, flattening iron and things like that it will damage your hair and all the cutting in the world wont prevent that. Go to your stylist and have her/him do a deep conditioning treatment at least bi-weekly. Also have your stylist recommend some shampoo/conditioning products for your hair type.

If you style your hair regularly, using blow dryers and curling irons that could be causing alot of damage. Instead of using these items on your hair, let it dry naturally and if you must curl it, then make sure to use a reconstructing cream on your hair.
