I have been struggling with unwanted hair for so long I am self conscious and depressed...?

...I know that sounds really pathetic and weird to most of you- if not all of you- but I cannot help the truth. You see, my family is middle eastern so I have tan skin and dark, dark black hair. I have hair all over my face, arms, back, stomach, etc, and it is sooo ugly!!! I cut my "sideburns" off with scissors, shaved by stomach and the hair on my fingers, and plucked my upper lip and face, and once I saw the final product I was so relieved. after a few days, however, I realized the stubble growing on my stomach and fingers, and my face doesn't look bad but it is such a painnnnn to take care of the unwanted hair on a daily basis. I'm guessing electrolysis is my only option left, but I'm still in high school and my mom is not going to go for that. Also, its expensive, but just out of curiosity how much money would I have to pay to get my stomach, fingers, and face fixed with electrolysis? Also, would the process of electrolysis be altered because I shaved and plucked those areas? :( :(

Electrolysis is pretty expensive. You could wax until you can pay for the procedure. You can even buy at home wax. It wouldn't be embarrassing and it would last a lot longer than shaving.

the cost would be around in either high hundreds or low thousads

God, I feel your pain, and my hair isn't even dark black!! Electrolysis usually costs about 30-50$ an hour, and it will take 3-5 sessions for small places (upper lip, underarms, hands, feet) but quite longer and several more for arms, legs, back, and stomach. You're looking at about 200-400$ per area. But, I think sometimes the smaller areas are the more noticeable ones, and I would start with them if there are money issues. The process is actually much EASIER if your hair is dark, so good luck!

It costs $25 for 15 mins where i work, however you have to let the hair grow long before electrolysis to work. The process involves a needle being stuck into the hair folicle and heat being applied. For some people it works and for others not. One area could be done in the 15 and you will need later sessions so all up for one area i would guess around $400
