How to take care of curly hair?

I have long curly hair and i always want to have it straight but it takes me forever to do it ( 1 hr 30 min.) Does anyone know a product that will help keep it straight? or maybe just to better treat my curly hair and i will end up liking it and living with it.

How to take care of curly hair?

my daughter and i both have naturally curly hair. we don't try to straighten it. we have ours cut in long layers and then we use a light weight mousse and let it air dry. this and lots of conditioners keeps it from being frizzy. we just have nice soft curls. i don't know why everyone wants to straighten their curly hair. i have so many people who tell my daughter and i that they would love to have our natural curls. try it you just might like it.

How to take care of curly hair?

i am having the same problem i cant make it straight

i dont know how

How to take care of curly hair?

I have curly hair and I hated it at first. All I did was straighten it and I used the hottest temperatures to make it really straight. But that end up breaking my hair. Now I try wearing it curly more often than straight. My hairstylist told me to used a curling CREAM instead of a mousse or gel b/c then the curls will be soft instead of crunchy or hard. Try not to put too many products in your hair, granted it took me a while to learn how to tame it and everything. I also learn that minimizing your products and just letting your hair do what it does naturally, without having it be a nightmare, gets the best results. Good luck!

What's the best way to take care of naturally curly, crazy, ringletty hair?

What sort of products would I use? Blow dry, or no?

What's the best way to take care of naturally curly, crazy, ringletty hair?

Blowdrying might be a bit messy. This tends to make it more frizzy. I would use conditioner to calm it down a bit, and maybe some anti-friz gel which will also calm it down and turn it into more controllable hair, which also makes it shinier and make it stand out more as healthy hair.

What's the best way to take care of naturally curly, crazy, ringletty hair?

Aveda Be Curly tames well, smells nice, and is all natural. Aveda also makes a confixer gel that gives you a little hold if your hair is particularly unruly. Just gently towel dry after a shower and put in the product, don't brush or pull it or anything. Don't blow out, embrace your curly!

Skin Care - Any Neutrogrena face cleansers work like magic - and their skin clearing makeup is a great light weight foundation

Cosmetics - I LOVE Stila lipgloss, Clinque makes good mascara, and drugstore eyeliner works fine. Sephora has a great line of concealers - if you have time, check out the store and they'll give you great hues for your skin tone

Hair - For straight hair, the Paul Mitchell SuperSkinny line, for curls John Frieda. John Freida's color glaze is really great too =)

Herbal Essence shampoo and conditioner. They smell SO good! Jergens has good lotions for dry skin. Lip glosses = lip smackers. But its best to splurge on a Loreal Juicy Tube lip gloss, its all worth it! Mascara - Lash Discovery by Maybelline. Don't mess with the best! A beauty not is those lip glosses that go on sheer and turn pink. They make your lips REALLY pink. And they stain your lips.

Hair straightening + health?

How is it posssible to always straighten hair but it stays healthy... what products do people use to keep hair moisturizing before and after straightening so hair doesnt go brittle.. and what hair care routine do people use thx

Hair straightening + health?

On top of all of the hair straightening specific treatments you ABSOLUTELY need to treat your hair once per week or as needed with a deep conditioning treatment/hair masque.

My stylist gave direct orders to wash hair as seldom as possible. Washing is very harsh on hair, as is daily straightening, blow drying, etc. I personally cannot last more than every other day when I straighten, but some girls can go for a week. It depends on the oiliness of your scalp and health of your hair.

I hope that this helps.

Hair straightening + health?

Well you can get like Iron lotion or spray before using heat on your hair. Then like some shine spray %26amp;+ leave in conditioner.

It seems to work for me.

Hair straightening + health?

while my hair is wet i put in

E.tex hotstyle ironing cream

and when it dries before i straighten it i spray in

TRESemme thermal creations heat tamer spray

they protect my hair from the heat.

and they work [:

Hair straightening + health?

Oh dude Yeah I have this spray %26amp; gel I use to reduce heat damage. Its called TRESemme`. You can get it at walmart err something %26amp; it works really good. I use it nearly everyday

Hair straightening + health?

get a straightener with ceramic plates (better for your hair)

buy a cream or spray to put in your hair before you straighten it.

use the heat for your hair type. (thin hair lower heat thicker hair higher heat) by a shampoo to moisturize your hair.

Hair straightening + health?

Well don't use any products. There is a way to straighten your hair without heat our hair products. Just wash your hair. And while you're washing your hair brush it out at the same time. When your done just keep combing it.

Hair straightening + health?

There's a few things you'll wanna do:

#1. If your hair has damage already look into getting a deep moisturizer for your hair. The best hair care I have found is made by a company called Elon. They make alot of Dermatology recommended products. I use their whole line of hair care to keep my hair soft and silky. Their pre-wash basically fixes damage in 1-2 uses and their masque deep conditions. The shampoo and conditioner are sulfate free so they keep your hair soft. I use the shampoo and conditioner everyday and they other 2 once a week or so.

#2. Make sure when you straighten it your hair is completely dry. If your hair is a little wet it will singe the hair.

#3. Use a hair serum (Elon makes a nice one in a pump bottle) or a cream after straightening your hair to help with any fly-aways.

#4. Trim your hair every 6-8 weeks to eliminate split ends that can occur from constant heat treatment on your hair.

Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!

Hair straightening and moisture....?

How is it posssible to always straighten hair but it stays healthy... what products do people use to keep hair moisturizing before and after straightening so hair doesnt go brittle.. and what hair care routine do people use thx

Hair straightening and moisture....?

Hot oil massage treatments every week or every other week keep your hair great. You can find these at the drugstore for a couple of bucks... v05 is a brand I believe.

Or you can massage olive oil into your scalp, leave it on over night and do two shampoos to wash it out-- I've been telling ppl to do this for years and it works amazing.

In the meantime, if you're just chilling with a close friend at a house or alone, don't straighten ur hair. Also, do it briefly and on a lower temp if possible. Don't blow-dry... and use heat defense before straightening... I use Alberto... 3-4 $$ I believe. Smells great.

Hair straightening and moisture....?

I use Aveda Hang Straight. It's the best stuff. Also, I avoid using too much shampoo because it's drying. Lots of conditioner

Hair straightening and moisture....?

If your gonna straighten your hair,

you need to be using moisture restoring conditioner, Garnier Fructis has a good one. So does Pantene. Also you need a heat-protectant spray to spray all over your hair before you iron it!!

Caring for dyed hair.?

I just had my hair permanently dyed black and orange yesterday, with a few bleached hilights.

Here's a picture of it:

http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k287/O...

I was told not to wash it for at least three days, to prevent loss of color, my only problem, is that I have something important to do today.

So my question, is whether rinsing some of the oil built up from sleeping on it, out with just straight warm water and no products would harm the color in any way?

Also, would it be acceptable to just skip shampoo and wash with conditioner? Or would it still be too early (next day) to use anything on it at all?

Please somebody help me out A.S.A.P. If I can't rinse it out with water, I'll just have to cover it in hair product to try and sculpt it out of bed-head form.

Thanks in Advance.

Caring for dyed hair.?

You may want to use a dry shampoo. Rinsing won't do much to get rid of oil.

You could also call your stylist and ask if it would harm the color.

Caring for dyed hair.?

it would be good if you skipped the shampoo but use a color care conditioner......the color wont come out very easy.

Hair question?

my hair is very wavy, curly, and frizzy. its untameable. i HAVE to flat iron it every day. it gets very hard to brush and take care of it. does anyone have any hair products to suggest?

Hair question?

try PAUL MICHELLE Conditioner Sold at Sally's ! !

or try http://www.hairquestions.com or http://www.hairproducts.com

Hair question?

Super Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchel. Its a smoothing conditioner that you apply when damp. It defrizzes your hair and makes it easier to straighten.

P.S. If you are really desperate get your hair chemically straightened.

Hair question?

i know how you feel completely! :( i recommened using aussie's frizze cream. use it right after the shower on damp hair. you can use a little through out the day to keep your hair smooth. if your hair is long then trying putting stacked layers in your hair to remove the weight.

good luck!

Hair question?

I know it sounds wierd, but put mayonniase in it!!!It will fix the frizz, soften, fix split ends, and also is all natural and is safe for hair. Leave it in for 15-20 min then wash out shampoo and conditionar. At the end of washing make sure you put cold water on and that will make it shi

How often a week can you straighten hair without doing a lot of damage to it?

I have heard that spray-on hair wax or other hair care items can be used to spray on hair before straightening so that not as much damage is done...what product would be best to use for this purpose?

How often a week can you straighten hair without doing a lot of damage to it?

I use hair serum... frizz eaze or pantene. The key is to not wash your hair so often. Bees-wax is good for starightening hair too. I straighten my har 2 times a week and wash in between.

How often a week can you straighten hair without doing a lot of damage to it?

You could straighten your hair everyday if you wanted to as long as you use protection from the heat.

Depending on how much you want to spend on your products, you could use something like VO5 Miracle Mist ($4-5 at drugstores) which is a mist spray that you spritz on your hair before flat ironing. If you want to splurge, use Oscar Blandi's Trattamento al Fango ($24 at Sephora).

Ask your local stylist for best reccomendations.

Which is the best serum and leave in conditioner for dry hair and damaged hair?

I personally have color/heat damaged hair, and infusium works great for me, it makes it soft and healthy feeling, i would recommened it.

Also to protect your hair from the heat while your styling it, i would suggest using Aussie leave in conditioner/heat protectant.

Which is the best serum and leave in conditioner for dry hair and damaged hair?

Sunsilk Hair-apy works great on my hair!

A few months ago, I burned my hair with my flat iron. I used the Sunsilk and within 2 weeks all the burned parts were gone and looking like normal hair again.

Also, any shampoos and conditioners you find that say "moisturizing" are good to use. I personally like Aussie and Garnier Frutics.

If your looking for anti-frizz serum Garnier Frutics has a great one that you can apply to wet hair.

Dove deep conditioner works really well to! You aren't required to leave it on for to long [about 4 minutes] and helps hydrate and replenish your hair.

Which is the best serum and leave in conditioner for dry hair and damaged hair?

try the aussie products, they do a great spray leave in conditioner (smells heavenly) and loads of repair products.

Which is the best serum and leave in conditioner for dry hair and damaged hair?

I have really fine hair, and i dye and straighten it all the time, so as you can imagine it's really dry and damaged. i've found the best thing for your hair is this little conditioner packet called Henna and Placenta. It's like 99 cents at the drug store. I know the name sounds gross, but slather wet hair with a whole packet of that stuff once a week, let it soak in for about 10 minutes while you stay in a steamy shower, then rinse and dry your hair, and i swear it feels like a brand new head of hair every time. the stuff is amazing! :)

Which is the best serum and leave in conditioner for dry hair and damaged hair?

bio silk(serum)

fructis(leave in)

dax(leave in conditioner)

Which is the best serum and leave in conditioner for dry hair and damaged hair?

Toni and guy do a great leave in conditioner which prevents split ends and keeps hair soft and shiny they should sell this is any good store such as boots. You should use a leave in conditioner once a week to keep hair strong, healthy and in good condition.

Its best to use a serum specially formulated for dry hair you should ask your hair dresser to recommend one next time u visit the salon.

Celebrity Hair?

I don't get one thing: How come celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Linday Lohan, etc. never go bald because they've dyed %26amp; styled their hair a lot? What products do they use to take care of their hair and all? Just curious!

Celebrity Hair?

a lot of the time Gwen Stefani wears wigs and extensions during her tours and videos and i have noticed that she wears a lot of hats and bandannas too. her hair did start falling out in the 90's and she cut it really short. after that she stopped dying it so often. notice how often they wear hats?

Celebrity Hair?

They use "Biolage" or "silk thereopy" for simple products! But for there best ones--its all about $50 specialty shampoo and condiotners that are only found in HIGH profile hair salons. even i dont know the brand name but I think it has the word "Silky..." then somethin

Celebrity Hair?

i wonder the same thing too! but i mean really they have like 10 people in charge of their hair and stuff. its all magical and the normal people are stuck with sucky hair

Celebrity Hair?

I'm sure that they all use different products. But the products are quality products and they go to quality salons. Take care of your hair and never double process. Be gentle when you wash and brush and blow dry.

Celebrity Hair?

they use the products u order or buy from the salon. You could use stuff from sallys or other beauty supply stores.

Celebrity Hair?

its called extentions those artist would be bald if they didnt have money the f**k with their hair too much

Celebrity Hair?

are you serious?

celebrites have so many artist/stylish that work on them. everyone looks up to them like they have always look all goregous. but when they all go into visit there make-up artist, they all look like us. and they are edited on flims. have you ever heard of extensions. i bet everybody you named has and has used them more than they years they have lived. there is one possibility. they dont all just use the same product to keep their hair from falling out.

Frizzy hair help?

whats the best hair product for frizzy hair? like what shampoo and what frizz-ease? i dont care about how expensive

Frizzy hair help?

I love Biolage. They have an entire line dedicated to thick frizzy coarse hair. It is WONDERFUL!!!!!

Frizzy hair help?

My son tried not washing his hair everyday. This helps the natural oils tame it. He plays a sport so threw that practice out the window but it help. He also uses frizz-eze from time to time.

Frizzy hair help?

The Lanza straight line range shampoo conditioner and smoother are really good and you do see a difference you can buy it in selected salons and on line

Frizzy hair help?

Best product for frizzy hair is NAIR. All your hair worries will be gone!

Frizzy hair help?

Shampoo I would recommend Redken all soft .Conditioner also all soft. Then after put in frizz ease thermal protectant gloss it is fairly new and golden color. Let air dry most of the way, then blow dry and after use more frizz ease .Start only using the amount the size of the tip of your pinky and only from ears down you can always add more later. Don't want to look like an oil slick (lol)

Is there any product i can use to make my curly hair curlier?

i have naturally curly hair which i love, but my problem is when i highlight my hair, the front of it always looses it's curl (where i put the most highlights). i used to be able to wear my hair out and have it look gorgeous. now, when i wear it out it looks weird. what i want is a product that will make my already curly hair curlier. i am just sick of always doing it straight. can someone please help me with this? it can be a shampoo or a chemical. i don't care at this point.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

I don't know what to do with my hair. Usually I take a shower around 6 and go to bed about 11, so my hairs dry by the time i go to sleep (it gets messier when i sleep w/ it wet). The front two pieces on either side of my head (about 2 inces) are straight. The whole of back of my head is always seriousley wavy. The pieces underneath are curly.

It looks bad, and I can't wear it down. I need help styling.

I have a straightener and a blow dryer, but i don't have enough time for that everyday. Are there any products I can use? I don't care if its curly or straight, just one would be nice (I would prefer curly).

Scrunching doesn't really work that well, I don't like using a lot of hairspray and stuff.

I was considering Herbal Essence Totally Twisted, or Dangerousley straight. Anyone used these?

Any other ideas?

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

You have my hair! try washing your hair in the morning and letting it dry naturally. The curls and waves will stay smoother instead of frizzing, and it won't get mishapen by sleeping on it. Only brush it once while it's wet, then leave it alone. Your hair sounds pretty, you should try pulling the sides up in clips. If it's the shape you don't like, try a different haircut, the shorter the curlier it will be.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

get a straightning iron, my friend has one.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

I have VERY curly hair....i used the Aussie products and they work great for me..the one i used to make my curls perfect is Mousse-Gel Fussion....its white and looks like liquid gel, when you pump it out it turns into foam like mousse....try it its pretty good

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

If you want to wear it straight, you can actually do a wrap on it, and this will make it relax where the curl is. To do this, think about like a tornado, or the swirl that your toilet makes when you flush. Part it where you normally do %26amp; then run a smoothing balm through it. Take your comb, and start coming in a circular pattern, wrapping the hair flat to your head. You will want a wrap cover to put over it, you can get this cheap in the black hair section, kinda like an ace bandage almost. If you want to wear it curly, you can actually do knots. Take about a 1" section of hair that's just barely damp, and start twisting it until it twists around itself. Pin it %26amp; let it continue to dry, then it will be curly when you take it down. Good luck!

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

i have very curly hair naturally, which is unfortunate because I really dont like it. Since some of your hair is curly and some is wavy, id reccomend straightening it. Invest in a good iron like a CHI. Then once all of it is straight, it will be easier to style any way you want, including re-curling.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

I mayself wear braids almost all my life. So try some braids. i't won't hurt

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

If your hair has curl and wave to it, then stick to the curl and wave. Trying to straighten it would take too much time to do everyday. Consider getting a spiral perm, a loose, relaxed one, so that you can just get up in the morning, gel or moose it, then go about your day worry free.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

strait

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

i dont know how you would do it...but i do know something about the shampoos. i have pretty much the same hair as you! i flat iron it evryday though. damamging yes, but as fixable over time. i bought the pin straight(dangerously or watever) from herbal essences new line. and all it did was make my hair a bit greasy. it honestly didnt do much straightening. it smelled good....but didnt do anything but flatten the hair up top and leave the rest normal.

Straight or Wavy/Curly Hair?

Put anything moisturizing on first so hydrators can easily penetrate strands.Low levels of silicon won't seal the hair shaft and block the effects of your moisturizing.next apply a serum which is light reflecting silicone to give strands a slippery feel.Is your hair is so unruly, limpness and dryness. For optimal benefit and your hair must look so amazing follow the way I suggested you.

AVEDA products?

Are all aveda products eco friendly? I read at care2 that there mascara is good but what about there skincare and hair products? Do they have lots of chemicals? Or is it all plant based? I recently got ceramic floors put it, but I don't know the best way to care for them or clean them? What products do you recommend? Also, we have 2 dogs %26amp; these floors act like a magnet for hair.

What's the best way to care for %26amp; clean ceramic floors?

In my old house i has smooth ceramic floors. At my new house i have bumpy ceramic floors. If your have grout that's another thing to maintain.

If you have the smooth or bumpy ceramic floors make sure that you sweep the floors daily. You can keep dirt build you mop the floor every other day at least. I like to clean my floors every day.

The only thing with bumpy ceramic floors is that you have to spend a little more time keeping them in tip-top-shape. Sometimes you may need to scrub to get it nice and clean.

For the grout you can also buy liquid that will make it water proof. Grout tends to take in water. Buying this can help your grout from becoming dark and ugly 9it can become brittle if it holds in a lot of water). You can go to your local HomeDepot to buy it, I'm pretty sure they sell them there. While you are there you can see many other products to care for your new ceramic floors.

Hope this helped some. :)

I was using the shampoo and conditioner as well as the body lotion.

It works fine and the ayurvedic properties make me feel safe.

However they are no longer carrying the shampoo in shops so now switching to a organic shampoo.

Himalaya herbal products.....have you tried the skin care and toiletries ?

They are good well sum months ago we used to use them a lot but as new products are launched every now and then v shifted to others but the Himalayan products hav one big benefit there is no bad effect.

I am looking for a wax to lift my hair...?

I have been using the product from the Blonde line of hair care, I ran out of it, it was in a spray bottle, it was actually a fine mist wax, that really helped lift my hair. I usually bought at Walgreens, I have looked at CVS, and now no one is carrying it?? Does anyone else have a good alternative?

I am looking for a wax to lift my hair...?

I've used a product made by Aussie called Dual Personality - it's a spray gel/leave-in conditioner. I was actually looking for a leave-in, and was impressed with the volume this product gave me.

There's also a serum made by Bed Head called Superstar - I found that using this along with a light mousse before blowdrying gave great volume. It's a little more expensive, but I really liked it when my hair was longer.

towel dry hair after rinsing out the shampoo.

after towel drying apply conditioner (small amount into palm of hand; rub hands together; dab all over hair; finger comb thru) then rinse (not all the way out) with cool water.

make sure you use good products. cheaper products can actually damage the hair and make it more dry. i love MIZANI products for extra dry or brittle hair. it makes hair soft, but manageable.

Bi racial Hair? ..... Plz Help!?

put lots of conditioner and dont straten it to oftian.

Bi racial Hair? ..... Plz Help!?

My daughter id mixed, and it IS hard to deal with, after washing it a couple times a week, and while it is wet you just leave some conditioner in it and comb through it.

Bi racial Hair? ..... Plz Help!?

take her to a saloon and ask them what to do.

Bi racial Hair? ..... Plz Help!?

Wash her hair once a week, make sure she's using conditioner on it after. Her hair NEEDS to have a moisturizer on it! Use pink oil moisturizer or a light hair grease.Part the hair and grease her scalp at least twice a week.

To make the hair more straight.Try a flat iron,or a pressing comb.Good luck:-)

Bi racial Hair? ..... Plz Help!?

hey girl!

my friend has bi-racial hair and she uses anything that helps control those kinky curls such as pantene pro-v for curls, or like a deep conditioner. Leave on the deep conditioner for like half an hour, then put on a shower cap and then before rinsing try to comb it out. this should help and you should do this like three-four times a week.

Bi racial Hair? ..... Plz Help!?

Visit www.curls.biz They have a whole section explaining how to take care of children's multi-ethnic hair. First never use oil on it. Shampoo only once a week with a hydrating shampoo, etc. They have all the answers you are looking for as well as products to use on their hair called Curly Q's.

My hair's blonde, dry, and has a lot of dandruff.. how often should i wash it?

I have John Frieda's Sheer Blonde. I have the condition, and one that makes it shiner. How often should i use these products?? how often should i wash my hair? i've tried all: wash it every day, wash it infrequently.. all.. what do u suggest? i think i also have a color problem, cuz i use a lot of shine boosters and stuff like that.. so i have like parts that are blonder, parts that are darker...etc. With the Sun my hair looks like EXTREMELY BLONDE .. like almost white.. but with low light it looks like brown or soemthing like that.. is this normal??? how can i fix the color problem.. and make my hair less smooth? does havin' blonde hear require a different treatment to take care of it?

P.S: SORRY for the errors if i made one

My hair's blonde, dry, and has a lot of dandruff.. how often should i wash it?

no blonde hair does not require different treatment well not everyone same so my advice would be use dandruff shampoo via Head N Shoulders . Just wash your hair once or twice a day in the morning and night and that way it can be clean and avoiding split ends as well as if you decide to color it or do color frequently, use the head and shoulders and make sure you pick the right one. Head n shoulders make different shampoos for different problems such as shine problems or dry problems or greasy head problems

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

I wanted to know if there is any real good information on how to take care of your skin or facial hair and the best way to shave so that u could prevent anything bad like razor burns or anything. Please recommend any specific products if possible. Thanx.

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

I use to work for Clinique and I use to help a lot of men in this area. Also, my husband is in the Navy and shaves on a a daily basis.

Believe it or not the woman's Gillette Brand.. In the Blue Bottle, Ocean Breeze is great for men, It is moisturizing and you can get a clean shave.

The key is to use a sharp blade, massage, press softly and HEAT!

The heat will open up pores making the hair soft.

It gets expensive but I would use your blade twice and get another blade. This is up to you...

Between Shaves Exfoliate with a gentle facial scrub... Nothing High costs... Use the womans generic it will work fine. Use it in the shower.... This pulls away the dead skin needless to say it will give you a closer shave...

Shave AFTER a Hot Shower ! Massage Massage Massage.. It will losen tense muscles getting a closer shave....

MOISTURIZE between shaves... This I would invest a little more money... You get only one face in life Sorry. LOL. Not only will it help keep your face smooth and nick free it will also help with the aging lines.... Trying to shave dry skin will cause more razor burn.

I understand you want to get this done quick but, without the heat, massage, sharp blades, clean skin.... It'll be rough.

SHAVING SUCKS

Good Luck!

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

keep it wet whith shaving cream at least 5 minutes before shaving...........change shaving clreams periodically.

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

None. I have tried everything. Shaving sucks!

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

I am a gurl, but this might help?

i usually put mineral oil on afterwards to prevent burns....

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

Invest in a good shaver and blade!

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

**be careful about nicking yourself

**Use shaving Cream

**Keep your skin washed

**Keep your skin moisturized.

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

Start with a clean face! Use a soap that is ph balanced. ph ( the level of alkalinity that matches your skin). Use warm shave soap. A good razor (gillette sensor). Rinse with cool water. Do not use after-shave products with alcohol in them. Alcohol dries your skin.

Good luck and happy hair removal.

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

best way to shave:

1. soak a small wash cloth in hot water then (after it's cooled a little) wrap it around your face. This will open up your pores.

2. forget shaving cream, use regular lotion like St. Ives but try and stay away from the blue tin can nivea type of thick heavy lotions they tend to make a mess.

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

Start by taking care from the inside of your body, particularly regarding your skin. Shelled sunflower seeds are fantastic. One teaspoon a day, chewed well.

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

The best advice is to shave immediately after getting out of the hot shower before drying off. The ten minutes plus you spend in the shower completely softens up your beard and skin.

If you jump out of the shower and go shave while your face is still wet and warm, you'll find that shaving will be 20 times easier and it will come right off without razor burn or irritation, even if shaving against the grain. This will work better than the hot waschloth method, which won't have time to completely soften up your beard and face.

The more expensive shaving gels are also definitely superior to the cheap shaving creams, btw. Also use a triple blade or quadruple blade razor, not cheap disposables.

What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

when it comes to my face,i just use hot water,to soften my whiskers and use a sharp razor, and when iam done,i throw a little after shave on.thats all i do.

I have a series of hair questions.?

I want a new hairstyle. I want it to be short and I already no what kind of hair style I want too. I just don't know if I should get it yet. I am a kid, 12, and am some what lazy. The hair style is straight but my hair is curly. So I would have to re-straighten and wash my hair everyday. Should I get it?

If I do get it what shampoo and conditioner should I get?

My hair is very curly is dry at the scalp but the rest of my hair is dry. And the shampoo and conditioner would have to take care of heat damage.

Is there any other hair products I should use? I f should then tell me what the brand is and where to get it.

Thank You!!!

I have a series of hair questions.?

I think you should choose another hair style. I, who have curly hair and understand the tendency to lean towards straighter styles, think it is ridiculous to straighten on a daily basis. Absolutely ridiculous. I straighten my hair about once a month, sometimes more. Try to find a way to make your natural hair look good.

Good luck!

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

I have curly, kinky hair that i have damaged from getting highlights, Straightening my hair with 1 relaxer (that didn't straighten my hair at all), flat irons, and i also got a permanant straightener (that didn't work ethier) on my hair as well. This was 6 months ago and ever since i did all that damage to my hair i have deep conditioned it and taken really good care of it and i need some advice on things to do for my hair to help it even more.(any good products/advice)

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

One way woud be is to go to a hair salon that specializes in damaged and unhealthy hair. My hair was also very damaged, from relaxers, coloring and heat devices. I alloed my relaxer to grow out by getting my hair braided every 4-6 weeks. Between braidings I would get my split ends clipped and my hair deep conditioned. Within a year my hair had grown an additional 5 inches and was really healthy. I no longer chemically treat my hair, I now have my hair pressed every 3 weeks.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

Put glue in it

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

protein. stir unflavored gelatin into a drink and drink it straight down at least once daily thermasilk might also help

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

GET GARNIER FRUCTESE, PANTENE AND HEAD AND SHOULDERS:)

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

good use of good creams

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

Girl Shave it all off and start again....failing that the only other thing is time and trims every month till all the damaged hair is gone............why do all that to your hair just to look like everyone else anyway...plus curls are in this season.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

Hot oil treatment may help to give back some of the natural oils it lost.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

I suppose it is go to hairdressers and ask advice.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

shave it all off and let it grow out naturally it will be fuller and thicker

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

Try a mix of equal quantities of olive, castor and almond oil. Its very nutritious to your hair. just apply it to your hair and leave it in for 1 hour (better if you wrap your hair in a hot towel). Then wash your hair thoroughly.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

I guess theres really nothing you can do now but be very gentle with it, and don`t use anything that sucks moisture out of it. Keep deep conditioning it. And wash hair every other day= this is very important.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

You should get a shampoo and conditioner that works for you hair and will reclense it and give it somemore vibe. Maybe like panteen or something.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

If it were me I would definitely consult a professional. I did after I went bleach blonde (i have natural dark brown curly hair) but exactly 2 minutes before I bought a straightener. If I hadn't I wouldn't have any hair. Thank goodness for hairstylist who in some cases know what they are talking about. God Bless.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

Go to a salon and get re constructor treatments,it's made up of protein and moisture. You will also need to at least start trimming the damage off or get a shorter hair cut. Nothing will repair damaged hair. Depending on how bad it is you can only camoflauge it. Don't put anymore chemicals on it either.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

Well, i relax my hair, and in between relaxers i use this product called Nioxin...kinda expensive but if you do your research you will see why, always remember to deep condition that hair once a week, use a conditioner that keeps the ph level and porosity in you hair stable, repairs it, and prevents damage, also i suggest using John Freida style products...i use the hair serum and the blow dry hair spray and afterwards i use a blow dry with a comb attachment once a week ALSO, MAKE SURE TO TRIM THOSE SPLIT ENDS, about once every two months or every time you look in the mirror and notice the frizzyness in the hair shafts and that the ends are not uniformly straight, take a pair of scissors especially made to trim hair, and cut about a half an in off of your ends....its all about weekly maintenance.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

Just putting conditioner on it does not really help repair it. It needs deep conditioning and that will have to be done once a week and also trimming some of the damaged hair off as it grows out until you get to hair that has not been damaged. How to deep condition: Purchase good quality conditioner (Nexus has one called Keraphyx) from a beauty shop. Wash hair, rinse shampoo out. Towel hair, but leave damp. Put on recommended amount of conditioner. Do not rinse out yet. Cover head with plastic shower cap or plastic bag (not whole head, but hair area). Wrap a large towel around that. Leave on for 20 minutes (so your body's heat can warm up everything under the cap and towel, opening up the shaft of the hair and allowing the conditioner to soak into the hair). After 20 minutes, remove towel and cap/bag. Wait another 5-10 minutes for hair to cool down and let shafts close and retain the conditioner and moisture from it. Now rinse hair, but with luke warm water or as cool as you can stand it. For an even deeper heat treatment; leave off towel and set under dryer for the 20 minutes. Remember to still allow it 5-10 minutes to cool down. And also use the cap or bag when using the hair dryer treatment. I have had many bad experiences with my hair over the years, and learned this one some years ago. Literally has saved my hair after some major damage.

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

Hi! I had some of those similar problems and I found what work for me is to only wash it 3 times a week(if you can get away with it) and the rest of the week put a leave in conditioner or Frizz Ease and John Freida satin shine in my hair before I put it up in a pony or a loose bun or even lightly flat iron it. Washing it only 3 times a week got some getting use to. I use to do it all every day. Wash, blow dry flat iron or curling iron. Amazingly enough my hair is much healthier now than ever before. I do dye it once every 3 months(grays)(Loreal dye and hightlighting kit)Try deep conditioning it with a hair mud mask from Yves Rocher(less expensive) or Biolage. They both work just as well. Good luck!

What is the best way to repair (damaged) hair??

Do you know about parabens?

Parabens are chemical preservatives, used frequently in cosmetics and personal care products, such as shampoos, conditioners, hair styling gels, nail creams, foundations, facial masks, skin creams, and deodorants. They can even be an ingredient in baby lotions, shampoos, and other care products for children. Some reports say that it is toxic and some say it is safe. What do you know about parabens and its effects? I think we are exposed to too many chemicals and toxins without knowing what they can do to us.

Do you know about parabens?

Body shop products contain them - i think if it was very bad, the government would ban it..wouldn't they?

Do you know about parabens?

Do you know about parabens?

PARABENS

(Methyl, Ethyl, Propyl and Butyl)

Why does Arbonne use parabens Instead of 閳ユ笜atural閳?preservatives

what are they

Parabens are esters of p-Hydroxybenzoic Acid. They are used as safe and effective preservatives in cosmetic,

food and drug formulations and protect against yeast, molds and bacteria.

why they閳ユ獧e included

When it comes to complex formulations, Arbonne prides itself on safety as part of its pure, safe, beneficial

philosophies. Preservatives are essential in maintaining the integrity of these formulations and we formulate

with 閳ユ競road spectrum閳?preservative systems to protect against oxidation as well as contamination.

When formulating with both oil and water based ingredients, you must use two types of preservative systems

to ensure long term safety. Antioxidants, commonly known as 閳ユ笜atural preservatives閳?protect oils from

oxidizing or going rancid.

Where many natural ingredients have some antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, they do not meet the

stringent guidelines stipulated by the FDA for consumer safety.

Because Arbonne閳ユ獨 unique formulations are oil-in-water emulsions, we must use the parabens to offer broadspectrum

protection from the yeast, molds and bacteria that are common in our environment and naturally

occurring in water. It is absolutely necessary to support natural antioxidants, which protect the oils, with

broad-spectrum preservatives that protect the water phase. Only these complex and safe systems ensure

long-term safety for the consumer.

the facts

Parabens are practically non-irritating and non-sensitizing in the human population with normal skin and

are safe for use in cosmetic formulations as outlined by the governing institutions, FDA, CTFA %26amp; CIR. However,

paraben sensitization has been reported when paraben-containing medicaments have been applied to broken

skin, specifically, or when used in concentrations exceeding 1%. Arbonne uses less than 0.5%.

Looking for catalog or magazine that has black and white pictures of sports teams.?

This is probably a long shot, but about two or three years ago, I came across a catalog or magazine that featured some sort of product like cologne, or hair care or underwear, or shirts. The way they advertized was showing the models (male and female) as part of a sports team like rugby, or part of a boxing club, or a soccer team. All the photos were black and white. I'd love to know what company did those advertiesments.

Looking for catalog or magazine that has black and white pictures of sports teams.?

Only one I can think of is Abercrombie and Fitch.

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

Natural black hair. HOw do I get my hair to not be so dry and brittle all while having body at the same time without using a bunch of grease or oil products that cause buildup

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

Start using a shampoo and conditioner with extra moisture as an ingredient.

You still will need to use some type of moisture added to your hair and scalp. Try to find a product that is light.

Start wrapping up your hair at night with a silk or satin scarf. These materials does not absord the oils from our hair.

Limit your use of heated hair appliances.

Do not start washing your hair every night. Black women and men are not suppose to wash their hair that often. That removes the natural oils from our hair.

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

cut it really short and leave it totally natural.

that's what i think is best.

and work on trying to accept your hair how it is without thinking it's bad. it's part ofyou!

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

Purchase a good shampoo and conditioner get it trimmed regularly.

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

Use VO5 silky shampoo and conditioner. just double shampoo and use conditioner only once per shower. It works wonders.

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

I guess I would ask a hair stylist that specializes in hair of those with color. I heard Oprah say on her show once that not every one knows how to deal with "nappy" hair. HER words, not mine - and she should know.

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

use everyday conditioner and black shampooand also brush everytime.

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

try washing ur hair every night (shampoo %26amp; conditioner) if that doesn't work go to Sally's hair products stores and ask someone there if the know anything. Most of the time there is a conditioner that will help! hope this helps!

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

well i use this stuff called biosilk and its good cause i dont like my hair being stiff and greasy either. and it ads shine too your hair a bottle of it cost like 10$ but it small they have bigger one too.

What is a good way to take care of black hair?

Don't wash it every day - that tends to dry the hair out. Sally Beauty Supply has different kinds of conditioners you can use daily, but you want to avoid over-shampooing your hair.

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

I used to have gorgeous shiny straight hair. Because my mother took care of it and I wasn't allowed to put one product or do one thing to it. But when I was 12, I started using the blow-dryer, gels, mousses, washing it every day, brushing constantly. And after about 3 years, my hair is super dry and has a bunch of waves and kinks and a little frizz. Now I can never just come out of the shower and let it air-dry.

How do I get my healthy hair back?

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

There is a product that VO5 makes called hot oil treatment. You place the tube in hot water, then comb it through your hair, put on a shower cap, then wait. After several uses, your hair will become shiny and healthier looking again, as it loses it's dullness and dryness.

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

try getting some kind of relaxer put in it

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

Try using Johnson %26amp; Johnson's No More Tangles on your wet hair, and letting it air dry (if possible), if you HAVE to dry it, dry it in front of the fan, or on the cool or warm setting on your hair dryer. I also heard olive oil instead of conditioner works really well!

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

%26lt;%26gt; that sucks

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

well you could stop using all that stuff now. atleast it would prevent future damage. or if you do use a heat protecting spray. hmm you could put it in braids when it air drys or put your hair up. use a wide toothed comb to try and get the kinks out. i think theirs stuff you can get for this o-o

try hot oil treatments or deep condictioning.

toodles noodles

How do I restore my hair back to normal?

Get a haircut and just don't use any chemicals on your hair. Only wash it when is needed. Always use a comb instead of a brush. My hair used to be beautiful too, but since I started to have gray, I have to color it all the time and it ruins your hair. If you don't have that problem, try to be as natural as possible.

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

OKay, i love my image but i also care about other things so dont think i'm an all around glamour girl, but anyway. I dont know whaat to do to make my hair undamaged, there are so many products out there and i dont know what to do, i have to straighten my hair everyday other wise i look like a mess so please someone help!

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

I've recently fallen in love with Pantene's Pro-V's Restorative line. They put out separate shampoo/conditioner combinations for different problems:

"Time Renewal" which can help undo a lot of the damage we've done to our poor hair.

"Breakage Defense" which helps maintain strong hair and stop breakage

and "Frizz Control" which...obviously, controls frizz!

I would seriously check our their Restoratives line. I've been doing all sorts of damage on my hair for the past few years, and after using this line for like...a month and a half, my hair's great.

Take care!!

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

VO5

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

ask ur hair stylist, she will know hte best.

the best way to keep ur hair from getting even more damaged is to wash ur hair 3 times a weak. by letting ur hair getting just a little greasy, u are letting the natural oils sing in and heathen ur hair.

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

Go to the hairdresser, they have all the good products you may need to cut off some if its really burnt and they can give you some products to use prior to straighting.

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

try some sort of smoothing milk, avoid straighting it or curling it and get the end trimmed every few weeks....once its healthy go get it permanently straightened, like a perm but not curly.

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

dont use products which come in a range just coz they look nice

- use mosturising shampoo and conditioner like pantene PRO V ot herbal essences HELLO HYDRATION

- use leave in conditioner or hair serum to protect ur hair against the sun and wind

- use hair mask like Loreal or kerastase twice a week

- do hot oil treatment using VO5 or olive oil once a week

- trim ur hair after every 8-10 weeks to stop split ends from developing

- dont use chemicals like dyes, bleaches or relaxers

- keep away from electric appliances likr straighteners or curling iron

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

After you wash your hair spray a leave-in conditioner in your hair then let it air dry. Next, spray a heat protector on your hair before straightening it. Also, the ceramic straighteners are the best.

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

Straightening your hair is probably the main reason your hair is damaged. So you should experiment with some different styles that suit you but don't involve using heat in your hair. I would suggest you trim the edges of your hair where the hair is really really damaged and keep care of it. I don't kno if this really helped you but i hope it did.

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

first get a cut then get a leave in conditioner loreal has a real good one natures mega moisture it cost like 14 bucks and it works great find it at a beauty store like Sally's put it in your head 3 times a week

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

i had the same problem. first you need to get your ends trimmed and regularly get this done. try to use the hair iron at a low setting! try to wash your hair every other day. if you have to wash it every day then use a good shampoo and condinitor. i use john fredia and i loooooove it! i love the john fredia smothing milk. you can buy all his stuff at target. its a little pricy but its worth it!

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

I was there a month ago. I straighten is Terrible. heat damage only makes its worse. deep conditioning help. get a damaged shampoo and conditioner and get you ends cut.. or do what I did cut off all the damaged.. which was everything but 3 inches. but now my hair is healthier and grows really fast now.

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

quit straightening it everyday! use a anti-humectant spray prior to straightening and it will last longer. glide your flat iron over a few times quickly not slowly to avoid too much intense heat. you can use a good conditioner with human hair protein such as Joico kpak, (i recommend it because it can actually molecular bond with your own hair better than nanoized plant proteins) but the real resolve is to trim, trim and trim again. keeping hair trimmed keeps the ends from breaking and splitting and so the hair actually seems to grow faster and fuller.

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

Aussie 3 minute miracle is great!

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

obviously your not going to stop straightening it so make sure you use a heat protector, a deep conditioner every couple days and if you can cut an inch or so off your ends.

My Hair is really damaged, what do i do to make it undamaged????

just condition everyday! the more you condition the better it will get. make sure you get your hair trimmed at least once a month and get a deep condition treatments at least once a month(vo5 makes a great hot oil treatment that works wonders..

what works for me is applying a heat tool protectant to the hair when its still damp..i use John Freida's thermal protection serum(its a little orange serum) before and after i flat iron or curl my hair I'm a hot tools junkie:)

i also use a clarifying shampoo twice a week to fortify my hair(pantene clarifying shampoo) and don't condition when you do this.

good luck:)

Shampoo & conditioner troubles?

ok, i have been trying to get good working shampoo %26amp; conditioner for my hair, even though my hair looks great with almost anything. i just want it to look the best it can. i recently began caring about my hair. when i went to the store, there was a whole aisle full of differnt hair products. I need help knowing which one is right. i have brown hair, 7 like the color. it is also pretty straight, and a natural straight down the middle part. it gets frizzy sometimes ut not too bad. it is kinda short. i would like something quick 7 smells good. idk whether i have oily or dry hair. Can u give me some suggestions of either specific products, or some type of shampoo %26amp; conditioner i should look for? Thanks so much!!! : )

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

garnier fructis sleek and shine

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

don't just go for any normal shampoo or conditioner, they may have harmful chemicals. my stylist told me that your hair feels great every time you change shampoo as when you wash your hair using certain shampoo's they leave a residue on your hair. it sticks to it and makes it greasy!

i use loreal pro vitamino. slightly more expensive but it is very natural and smells nice.

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

The best I have ever found is Paul Mitchell. I have never had a bad hair day since using it. They have an assortment for all different hair types.

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

I honestly haven't been able to tell much of a difference in shampoos and conditioners - whether they were expensive $20-$30 a bottle from the salon or $2 a bottle Suave.

I think taking all the supplements you need is good for your entire body - including your hair. I also think it's important to try not to overstress it with drying, straightening (which doesn't sound like you have to do), etc. A healthy diet is good for your hair, too.

But other than that - the products are all about the same.

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

Herbal Essence shampoos and conditioners have recently been re formulated, and they do a fantastic job of shining up hair, and leaving it smelling great. There's options for all types of hair. Just pick the one that suits you best, and you should be quite happy.... And the good news is it's not expensive, like some of the other products out there. Good luck!

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

The TIGI S Factor line is really great if you're looking for soft, straight, silky hair. They have a great shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner. Also, my favorite is the styling aid in the teardrop shaped bottle. It smells great and keeps my hair looking and feeling great!

The TIGI line is supposed to be sold in salons only, but due to diversion it's available at Target. You can also find it at the mall hair salons as well.

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

ok well always remember dont always use conditioner because your hair will get dependent on it and damage.

I use charles worthington for shiny hair, my hair is chocolate brown and it comes out lovely for brunettes like us! =]

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

Auzzie moist shampoo... I have long blonde hair opposite of yours...but i've seen it used on my sister with natural red hair and my other sister with brown hair ....it makes your hair sooo shiny and i smells AMAZING! I would recomend it because I think it's the best shampoo in the world....not to add.....it's 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner! Good luck!

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

garnier fructis smells AMAZING! I always get comments on it-- I'll hug a guy and he'll look at me and say 'wow your hair smells really nice' and they'll start touching it (yes, it's soft, too) because it just smells like watermelons! I sometimes use kids shampoos because they're very fun to smell (yummm).

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

Pantene is my trust worthy. The others smell better(herbal essence but dry out the hair due to all the chemicals required to get the smell). Outrageous is good too tho.

Shampoo %26amp; conditioner troubles?

it all depends on how much you want to spend. if you want goo but cheep white rain works. if you want quality and to spend a lil bit more visit your hair stylest and have her sugest somthing.

My hair is an absoulute mess!! Help me please.?

I have very thick, layered, naturally wavyish straightish hair. It is wavy but only at the ends, so the tips of my hair curl in all these funny directions. It looks very odd to me. I try to straighten it, but I can only straighten one side good. the other side is too thick. I striaghten it one layer at a time, but the other side is too reluctant. I also can never reach the back. My hair has been very blah for a while, and the only time it hasn't been blah was when my hair stylist did it, she used Biolage color care shampoo and conditioner, and I'm currently using herbal essence degunkify shampoo and aussie moist conditioner. both products might be too strong for my delicate hair so I only shampoo and condition every other day. I don't know what type of straightener she used, and she also blow dryed it. I cannot blow try my own hair or else it is a poofy mess. so I let it airdry and it is still a poofy mess but it is less damaged. my hair stylist made my dry annoying hair fantastic but

My hair is an absoulute mess!! Help me please.?

well see, straighteners aren't made to straighten your whole head. they're atually made for touch ups. you are supposed to use a blow dryer and big round brush to get all the waves %26amp; curls out of your hair, then if you want it pin straight, you go over it layer by layer wit ha flat iron. so if you're a fan of straight hair i suggest that, or you could do more simply just put a bunch of mousse in after you shower when your hair is still wet and just scrunch untill its curly, then hairspray it and you're good.

My hair is an absoulute mess!! Help me please.?

DONT USE HERBAL ESSENCES OR AUSSIE!!!!!!!!I REPEAT, DONT USE HERBAL ESSENCES OR AUSSIE!!!!!!!

The natural ingredients kill any hair (espically delicate, brittle,or thin) from the inside out.I used herbal essences for a year then went to the hair dressers and she couldent even straignten my hair, because the herbal essences mixed with the professional hair care product killed my hair.

Other then that, id get it thinned

My hair is an absoulute mess!! Help me please.?

First off don't shampoo your hair everytime you take a shower. But always always condition. As for straightening if you can't do it. I myself have thick curly, wavy dry hair. I do let my hair air dry but I twist it and clip it up, don't use hair bands they'll dent your hair and it takes longer to dry. You need to find a good leave in conditioner I can't really suggest one as I have not found mine, its really a trial and error thing.

Yes you should get your hair colored professionally if you can't afford it right away just save up it'll be worth it. When you go in ask about her straightener and she probably used a blow dryer with a diffuser.
